Dove Launches New Body Wash

Everyone desires soft, moisturised skin, but for many women, maintaining it is a challenge as their skin often struggles to retain moisture, leaving it dry and uncomfortable. In response to this need and building on a six-decade legacy of providing superior skin care, Dove has introduced a groundbreaking body wash featuring its next-generation 24-hour Renewing MicroMoisture technology, a first in the South African market.

Having worked closely with scientists to discover the next innovation in body care, Dove’s all-new body wash uses a patented nano-emulsion formula, the only product in the South African market to harness nano-technology, that nourishes and renews the skin’s moisture barrier for a full 24 hours, ensuring long-lasting hydration.

“Our skin is a reflection of the journey we’ve been on, from laughter lines and sun-kissed freckles to the scars we wear with pride. It’s how we show the world we’ve truly lived. While our skin naturally changes with time, it’s important that we provide it with the care it needs every day. That’s why continuous 24-hour care is so essential,” said Masechaba Sekhitla. “This groundbreaking technology takes skin care to a new level by going deeper to improve the skin’s moisture barrier and working with its natural renewal processes. It provides lasting nourishment and care all day long; all in a body wash, not a lotion. This innovation is set to become the standard in skincare for years to come.”

The technology uses a patented process to break down oil-based droplets into millions of microscopic nano-sized droplets, which are deposited onto the skin to fill in gaps and crevices. The formula, enriched with stearic and palmitic acids, penetrates deep into the outer skin layer, helping to restore moisture and visibly reduce dryness by 50% after just one shower.

This provides long-lasting moisturisation and superior care, transforming the skin and leaving it feeling smoother and more nourished.

Dove hosted an Immersion on the 3rd of October, launching the new body wash with key influencers such as Leleti Khumalo, Thabsie and Thickleeyonce, underscoring the message that self-care and nourishment through Dove’s body wash can empower women to feel more confident and comfortable in their skin.

“The campaign is designed to highlight that Real Beauty comes from embracing the changes our skin goes through. With Dove’s 24-hour Renewing MicroMoisture technology, we’re not just helping women care for their skin, we’re empowering them to feel confident, comfortable, and beautiful every day,” said Anele Nzimande .
