Producer The Cool Honors Africa Day With New Project ‘Made In Africa’

Today marks the official global release of Producer The Cool’s brand-new album, Made In Africa, arriving just in time for Africa Day celebrations. The expansive project is led by the focus single “Mama Africa,” a track that seamlessly introduces listeners to the unique pan-African messages behind the special holiday release. According to the creator, the album reflects the complex realities of modern African life while honoring necessary ancestral traditions. It dives into foundational themes including unity, identity, motherhood, financial ambition, prayer, and everyday struggle.

One of the central motivations behind the project was creating a unified sound that could resonate simultaneously across different African regions. The artist explained that the frequency needed to hit perfectly in major hubs like Johannesburg, Lagos, Nairobi, and Gaborone. To achieve this, the producer leans heavily into contemporary club textures, infusing tracks with the unmistakable groove of Amapiano. This modern commercial sound ensures the music is both culturally grounded and highly appealing to global ears.

The album opens dramatically with an evocative traditional clan chant layered with orchestral sounds before shifting into the club-ready title single. The project then navigates through financial ambition in “Money” and deep vulnerability in “Mama Pray For Me,” where the artist sings about seeking spiritual support. The energy quickly pivots back to the streets with the festive vibrations of “Jika” and “Money 2.0,” the latter of which features a remarkably hard Amapiano log drum sound. The final track, “Cape to Cairo,” closes the project with an empowering message of African resilience.
